Label Text:
Text provided by the Photographic Resource Center at the time of the touring exhibition "New Works by Ten Massachusetts Photographers" in 1982: "Jane Tuckerman's toned and hand-colored black & white prints (with collage elements) deal with personal exploration and play. Predominately romantic in content, the recent work conveys her feelings of past, present and future through the use of "discarded newspapers, abandoned dwellings and deteriorating circumstances." Second Sight, a book of infrared photography co-edited with Sharon Fox, is in production. Tuckerman is Assistant Professor of Art, and Director of the Photography Program at Harvard University."
