Label Text:
The figure is identified as the warlord Nitta Yoshisada (1301–1338) by the text in the yellow cartouche at upper-right. Immediately beneath the cartouche is the artist's signature, which reads "Chōbunsai Kunimune ga" ('drawn by Chōbunsai Kunimune'). This print bears no further identifying marks.
