Label Text:
This print is signed at lower-middle right "Yoshitora ga" ('drawn by Yoshitora'). Beneath the signature is the mark of publisher Wakasaya Yoichi of the firm Jakurindō, the kanji for "waka" within a lozenge-shaped frame. The title is printed at top-right within the cartouche made to look itself like a print of irises. This print bears no further identifying marks and has been dated based on stylistic comparison and another collaboration between Yoshitora and the publisher, which was issued in 1864.
