Label Text:
This impression is likely a later re-issue of the original, which was published by Nishimura Sōemon as part of a four-volume set of kachō-e by Keinen, entitled "Keinen Kachō Gafu," published in 1891–1892. The woodblocks were cut by Tanaka Hirokichi with the original printing executed by Miki Jinzaburō. This impression, which bears no identifying marks aside from "No. 17" at upper-middle, is typical of the posthumous editions of Keinen's kachō-e, which date to the 1930s.

Amhest College's Frost Library owns a complete set of the original four-volume work as part of the Soffer Ornithology Collection.
