Label Text:
This print is signed at lower-left "Keisai Eisen ga" ('drawn by Keisai Eisen'), accompanied by the circular kiwame seal of the censor and the mark of publisher Tsutaya Kichizō of the firm Kōeidō, a maple leaf and dot beneath a triple-peaked mountain. The series is identified at upper-left within the black cartouche, while the text at right identifies the courtesan Kumai and her place of employ, as well as the theme of the series: the beauties of the Yoshiwara paired with famous sites on the Tōkaidō Road. The site paired with Kumai is identified by the superimposed landscape print at upper-right, which is labeled "Kanagawa."
