The name of the actor is given at top-right. This print is signed at lower-left "Ryūsai Shigeharu" with accompanying artist's seal in red. The seal of the publisher — the rectangular cartouche enclosing the katakana which read "wa ta ki" — is that of Wataya Kihei of the firm Kinzuidō. This particular seal design was only employed ca. 1827–1828 and has been used to date this impression.
