The first edition of this print was published by Fukuda Kumajirō (active 1874–1898, firm name Gusokuya) in October, 1894 (see Boston MFA 2000.380.36a–c). It is possible that this impression is from that original run though it may also, like the other designs in this album, be a later edition, which was published explicity for inclusion as part of this print collection. - BB, 2014
