Iron curling iron or crimping iron with two loop handles, one circular and one D-shaped. Frank Barnes in his "Hooks, Rings & Other Things" illustrates a similar English form: "This 3-prong implement was used to curl wigs in waves and/or ringlets. It could be used to crimp cloth."
