Description:
Woods in background with mist and falling rain, figures bottom left walking with umbrellas; trees; river. This design is by Hiroshige II and replaced the original No. 48, a different view of Paulowina Plantation. It was added to original set of 'One Hundred Famous Views of Edo' after Hiroshige's death in 1858. It is thought that the original block for No. 48 was lost or destroyed.
