Description:
Large tyg or drinking vessel with 6 loop handles and a drinking spout, which extends beyond the height of the vessel. The side opposite the drinking spout features a small semi-circular tab or handle. The exterior sides are ornamented with two central bands of an incised swag-pattern decoration, which are set between bands of repeating vertically stacked notches.The body incised with ‘combed’ wavy horizontal bands beneath a border of horizontal dashed bands, applied with six loop handles interrupted at the front with a rope-modeled upright spout and at the back with a pierced suspension lug, and the buff-colored clay covered in a dark brown glaze.
