Description:
Engraved powder horn with cork at one end, horn is engraved with a band of circles with scribed x's lines within the circles, x areas are decorated with hatch marks and straight lines, under a swag of drapery is a spread eagle and shield, there are mountain-like, peak features, inscribed "LABAN MILLS." Descended in the DeMerritt family of Madbury, New Hampshire. The powder horn is very dirty with a patina of grease and smoke that make it difficult to see the engraved decoration.
