Description:
Large, circular, drape molded dish with coggled rim; decorated with white slip using a three chambered slip cup, overall design forms an "x" within a square; lines of white slip are triple bands intertwined together in a squiggly line; there is no glaze on the reverse of the dish; Condition: there are large losses of body on the rim in several areas - not needing conservation, there is also one spot of slip/glaze loss in the decoration, glaze in dish has crackled and is worn in patches. Needs to be cleaned, water/dirt stains in the bottom of dish.
