Description:
Rectangular, wooden trunk with domed trunk, trunk has dovetailed sides, iron hardware on the trunk includes two wrought iron plates and bails on both sides; the square iron lock has a latch, the surface is decorated with paint (vinegar painted) in a repeating sponged design in brown, yellow, and red colors, the interiors is free of any decoration, there is one remaining supportive wooden slat along the left interior edge, the trunk uses wrought nails. Condition: there is a large loss or gouge out of the lower front edge, the lid is dirty and darkened making it hard to see.
