Description:
At this time it is very difficult to identify most black glazed earthenware as it was made by potters in all regions of the United States. Small or miniature redware cylindrical jar missing its lid, the jar has straight sides and a tapered neck, the top lip of the jar is rolled over, the base of the jar is rounded; and the base is flat and unglazed; Condition: Small chip to the inner rim; Origin: Pennsylvania, 1820-1840
