Description:
Thrown circular dish with rounded rim, steep curving sides and flat bottom, the outside of the dish is not glazed; interior of dish is decorated with bands of slip, the rim is decorated with three bands of yellow/white slip, the inner one is a wavy band of dark brown slip, next are three concentric bands of green glaze; next is a band of brown slip in a swag pattern; in the center are three concentric rings of yellow/white slip. There are some glaze losses along the rim of the dish and in the center of the dish. There are some deep scratch in the center well. Otherwise condition of the dish is good. Origin: probably Pennsylvania, c. 1820-1840,
