Description:
Two English lusterware bucket-shaped flower pots with grooved bases that fit into two shallow, circular stands. They are decorated with copper luster; a band of blue slip around the belly of the pots; and overglaze painted floral sprays. Its copper lustre decoration is created by applying gold salts to the red earthenware body, where in the heat of the kiln the metal is deposited as a thin layer on the surface.
