Description:
Chinese export porcelain eight-sided circular plate with sloping rim and shallow well decorated with elements of the 'Rose Mandarin' pattern. The outer border includes four large reserves with images of aquatic landscapes with four round reserves of flowers on a pink enamel field of diamond diapering; the central decoration depicts a Chinese domestic scene in a garden with two women and two children; one woman holds a vase of flowers while a child has a butterfly-shaped kite.
