Description:
English pearlware jug with an impressed mark on the base: "WOOD & CALDWELL" of the firm, Enoch Wood and James Caldwell, Fountain Place, Burslem, Staffordshire; The bellied jug is covered with a layer of blue slip decoration on the exterior; and is decorated with sprigged reliefs in white: The collar has a running vine and leaf motif and the belly has draped figures of children playing games The jug has a tapering rim, flaring pouring lip, and attached 7-shape handle.
