Description:
Silver bow-type sugar tongs with bright-cut decoration and long oval, shell-shaped cups, which are marked "P&M" in a rectangle on the inside of each shaft for Rowland Parry (d.1796) and James Musgrave (d.1813), and engraved with the initials"JC" in script in a bright-cut oval on the bow. Parry and Musgrave were in partnership in Philadelphia, 1793-1795.
