Description:
English pearlware, oval tureen with a lid and ladle, and molded decoration accented with an underglaze green. The base of the tureen is marked "HERCULANEUM". The lid has a pineapple knob over molded leaves and a shell band, all highlighted in green; and a molded plain band with an opening for the ladle handle. The body has a plain rim over sloped shoulders; over a shell band highlighted in green; over a plain concave body leading to a domed, flared foot, which is attached to a dish with a molded shell edge outlined in green. The ladle has a green, curved handle and plain bowl.
