Description:
Lead 12-pointed star raised on the front and flat and smooth on the back, which was found in the tool chest of Samuel Pierce (1767-1840) who worked as a pewterer in Greenfield. Stars such as these would have been incorporated into the lead decoration on front door fan- and side-lights, usually at the intersections of the calmes or lead bars. These came from the collection of Ledlie Irwin Laughlin.
