Description:
Two silver spoon with elliptical bowls with rattails and upturned spatulate-end handles with mid-ribs, which are marked "ES" in a rectangle attributed to Enoch Stanton (1745-1781), and engraved with the intials "M.D" on the backs of the handles. Stanton worked as a silversmith in Stonington and was in partnerhsip with his brothers, Daniel and Zebulon Stanton, from 1775-1780.
