Description:
Small thrown miniature or toy red earthenware jug with flat bottom, round, bellied shape, with narrow neck, and applied strap handle. With associated label: “20 #112 Elmwood Pottery circa 189[4?] illegible and torn/ Elmwood, Conn.” This object was originally in the collection of Burton N. Gates. Gates Collection notecard for 112 reads: " 2/ Toy jugs. (for decoration)/ Col. at Elmwood, Conn. Pottery, 1911. Made about 1895."
