Description:
Pear-shaped jar with pale green ground, dark brown graphic decoration around center of body and lower section. Inscription: No me presto y me doy solo de mi dueno soy. [Do not lend me and I belong only to my owner]. Other markings refer to Jesuit Order. Light brown floral design on should, high neck with deeper green band. 2 scroll handles. Low slanting foot, bottom glazed with large "A" in dark brown. Illust. in "Casa Manana," Exhbit: AFA, "Mexican Art, 1930-31, #74 (label on bottom).
