Box with "rayado" designs of green figures, green vases with purple and yellow flowers, and green animals, against an orange ground. Hinged cover with wrought iron lock. Interior of cover has painted eagle design in gray (Mexican national eagle?); illustrated in "Casa Manana" American Magazine of Art, Jan. 1931, p. 12. Inscription on inside of lid: Ni me preston me doi solo de mi dueƱo soi (Neither do I borrow, not do I give of myself. I only belong to my owner.)
