Description:
Vertical image of an interior space of a boy (the six-year-old prodigy Minamoto Shigeyuki from Kofu Province in Edo) executing calligraphy on the floor, while a woman kneeling next to him observing the practice and a man standing behind holding to one of a pair of calligraphy scrolls. A black cabinet in the back with brushes and a green panel on it. Three large brushes hanging in the top right corner. Print published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo).
