Description: double aiban, publisher unknown. the writing in small boxes around the figure are the titles of the fifty-four chapters of the Tale of Genji with their associated crests, clockwise from the lower right. The sheet may have been used as a gameboard.
Label Text: The small boxes around the central scene contain the titles of the fifty-four chapters of the Tale of Genji, written in black, with their associated crests ('genjimon') faintly visible at the inner margin of each rectangle. The chapters proceed clockwise from the lower right. It is possible that the sheet may have been used as a gameboard.
This print bears no identifying marks.
