SKINNER CATALOGUE:
A cross bow from the island of Bali in the East Indies, which shows very clearly the influence of the early European voyagers. Straight stock of a hard light wood, pointed at the butt end and roughly shaped at the forward end. Grooved for the arrow. Trigger and catch one piece of wood which extends through a slot in the stock. Heavy, solid mahoghany bow, 47 5/8" long, with handmade native fiber cord.
