Description:
This stained glass panel depicts a scene of a maritime battle. It features a sailing brown warship amidst an ongoing battle at sea. This scene is framed in an oval shape with intricate golden floral patterns within black borders. The ship is rendered in realistic details with its many white sails and masts, surrounded by blue sea waves and a cloudy sky above. The vessel has several cannons on its sides to fight with two other ships. The firing of the cannons causes thick white-gray smoke to surround them. At the bottom of the oval frame is a golden band containing an inscription with a name and date. It reads something like “Hendrick Lucas de Craemer ...1670”. (Wasifa Orthy '26)
