Description: The war medal was awarded to soldiers departing for service in China. Front: Crossed flags, Imperial mum crest, and a crow. Back: Mountains, clouds, and waves. Inscribed 'China Incident.' Ribbon - Blue (the sea and the Navy), tan (the soil of China, for the Army), dark pink (the bloodstained soil of China), bright red (blood and loyalty).
