Description:
The oinochoe consists of a trefoil mouth, concave neck, broad ribbon handle looped higher than the spout and three-cornered hat lid with a knob in the middle. Noticeable amount of brown glaze on the mouth, lid, shoulder and handle has crackled and flaked. The shoulder band is composed of hanging tongues, alternately red and yellow, against dark brown. The main pictorial field on the squat, globular body possesses a frieze depictig lions, deer, goats, a duck and a siren; the background is yellow with rosettes and other filling ornaments painted in smoky-brown. Above the picture panel are encircling lines, and below it, two polychrome bands and rays consisting of red and white details. The foot of this vase is broad and flat; the edge is painted red and the bottom is completely reserved.
