Description:
Festival barge returning from Itsukushima loaded with festival goers, musicians playing classical court music (gagaku) on instruments including drums and flutes, rowers wearing masks, punters, and samurai lords (daimyo) dressed in formal dress (hakama) and shoulder pads (kataginu) with swords; decorated with a large phoenix on top, cherry blossoms, red lanterns, banners with crests (kammon) of Asai clan and gagaku group; hills and other boats in background. Signed Gakutei Ichimaro.
