Beneath the signature is the seal of the artist, which reads "chūrin," an abbreviation of "Chūrinsha," a name occasionally employed by the artist. The seal of publisher Nishimuraya Yohachi of the firm Eijūdō is visible at lower-left. That particular seal design was employed by the publisher from ca. 1780–1805.
