Label Text:
Text provided by the Photographic Resource Center at the time of the touring exhibition "New Works by Ten Massachusetts Photographers" in 1982: "Sage Sohier's photographs describe people in their environments engaged in the insignificant moments of everyday life. They are "documentary" in the sense that they organize complex frames of "found" reality to suggest various fictions. Sohier recieed a NEA Visual Arts Fellowship in Photography, and a Massachusetts Artists Fellowship in Photography. She is one of the photographers on the photographic survey "Images of Preservation and Development in the Fort Point Chanel and the Leather District.""
