SKINNER CATALOGUE:
An old Scottish claymore with long, straight, heavy, two edge blade, with central blood gutter,36 1/2" x 1 3/8". Marked: "LANDON" near the hilt, "...RARA" in poorly cut lettters. Grip wound with brass wire and cord and this covered with paper and bound with string. Elaborate hilt consisting of two ovals and two curved extensions parallel to the blade, double ovals at right angles to the blade, and a curved back guard. Pommel is a flat circular plate with a brass nub. Weight: 42 ozs. Cat. 10/8/1935.
