Description:
Carved argillite spoon handle depicts a squid sitting atop a man, who is perched upon a bear with an upside down man in his mouth. The bear holding a man in his mouth is likely a nod to the spoon owner's political power or social rank. The undecorated spoonbowl is made out of steamed mountain goat horn and is afflixed to the argillite handle. AP2018
