Oiran (high ranking courtesan) representing Sosenko (Su Xiangong) with book in hand, admiring a potted plum; image of crane and stylized plum blossoms on obi (sash); pattern of folding fans embossed on kimono and embellished with metallic pigments; poem signed Michizuki no Kagenari compares a courtesan's feathered robes to a flock of feathered cranes.
