Label Text: This performance took place in the eighth lunar month of 1849 (Kaei 2) at the Kawarasakiya. Copies of this impression are also held by the British Museum (acc. no. 2008,3037.12311) and the Tsubouchi Theatre Museum at Waseda University, Tokyo (acc. no. 005-0077). This print bears the seals of censors Hama Yahei and Magome Kangeyū. - BB 2013
