Description:
The triumphal Arch of Constantine on the left, shown at a raking angle, with a group of tourists in traveling cloaks and hats in front of it. The conical stone ruins of the Meta Sudans in the center foreground, wich a person carrying a platter of food and another sitting down to sketch or draw in front of it. A road/open space recedes back from the Meta Sudans to the Arch of Titus in the center distance, the SPQR along its entabulature visible. Ruins of arches and vaults in the background left (on the Palatine Hill) and on the right.
