Description:
ca. late 19th or early 20th century plaster cast of a marble original dating to the Archaic Period, ca. 500 BCE. A kore is an Archaic Greek stylized sculpture of a standing young woman dressed in loose garments. This kore is probably a cast of an individual, identified as Acropolis 674, from the group known as the Korai of the Acropolis of Athens. She wears a chiton, a himation, and a head covering and is missing both arms and her body below the waist.
Provenience: Acropolis, Greece, Athens (original)
