Description:
Carved white marble or alabaster miniature portrait within an oval glass frame; frame is composed of a pressed gilt brass frame and glass with wooden backing, the brass frame has an egg and dart molding with a beaded interior rim, carved portrait profile of a young man faces left, he wears his own natural hair in a long Napoleonic hairstyle, he has a high collared coat, ruffled shirt, and coat buttons, the portrait is laid on a black paper backing, signed in pencil on the reverse, "3", "1616?" "Tah. B. Lolley" and "Oubal". Condition: Ear is slightly abraded.
