Framed under glass wax portrait of an unknown military officer, wooden frame is molded and stepped to create a shadowbox for the wax portrait, the interior of the frame is lined on the sides in light tan velvet, the light ivory colored wax portrait depicts a military officer with sash and epulets in profile looking to the right, he wears his natural curled hair, a coat has a high collar, on the shoulder of the wax portrait is the signature, "Brochard f." , on the reverse is the inscription in pencil, "signed/Bouchard" and "JER". There is an hanging ring on the reverse of the portrait. Wax portrait is cracked near the collar.
