AD))): This black and white woodcut print depicts a portrait of a young woman from the shoulders up and whose arms are raised above her head. In the center of the print, the woman's elongated face is askew, tilting to her left and resting on her upright arm, as if to look at the viewer. The features of her face are distorted, with sharp angles and edges composing the boundaries of her chin and hairline. Her mouth, eyes, and nose are exaggerated, appearing much larger in proportion than how those facial features would look realistically. Diagonal lines around her nostrils provide shading to her face and are joined with thick lines coming down from her eyes, similar to streams of tears. On her left cheek is a wide horizontal gash with vertical streams descending below it, looking almost like a cut. On her collarbone is a series of three small squares proceeding across her body toward the hair of her underarm. Everything beneath her collarbone is black and devoid of detail, and her extended arms are positioned so that her hands cannot be seen within the frame of the portrait.
