Description: Visual Description: Standing on a tiled floor in front of a colorless background, the standard-bearer holds the banner of Frutigen. He is dressed in grey poofy trousers and stockings, a blue shirt and yellow vest, and wears a broad-brimmed black hat with yellow and black feathers. To the side, standing on pedestals and framed by columns, are smaller figures of men playing marching instruments, to the left a drum and the right a fife. Above them, sitting on the architrave on the left, is a putto amidst banners, and on the right, the front part of a mobile cannon with banners beyond it. The inscription at the bottom frames the arms of Frutigen. (Dr. Virginia Raguin; recording Tomasz Andrej Grybowski)
Inscription: Ein Ehrende/ Landschafft Früttigen / A O I 7 I 3 (An honorable territory, Frutigen, the year 1713)
