Description:
Two-channel video installation filmed at Fort Marion (Castillo de San Marcos) in St. Augustine and in archives that layers text over moving images and incorporates voiceovers to narrate the escape of Seminole Chieftain Coacoochee from the fort; image and sound are distorted at particular moments. At times, archival documents, including drawings by prisoners, are shown in thier plastic sleeves on a table.
