Description:
These small pots held salves for treating wounds or burns on the skin. Ointment Pot, probably London, England, c. 1700-1750. Tin-glazed earthenware (delftware). Open bowl-shaped pot with flaring sides, slightly outcurving rim, and small circular foot. Small chips to the rim.
