Description:
Flat plaque showing jackal-headed Duamutef, with stitching hole in head; lower part of body missing. Duamutef was one of the Canopic deities (the fours sons of Horus) who guarded the internal organs of the deceased. Duamutef guarded the stomach, and this plaque would have been attached to a linen-wrapped packet containing the stomach.
