Description:
Missionary Cabinet. Handwoven, multicolored (brown, tan, gold, dark red) scarf with short fringe on both ends with large portions missing. Consists of a 30" brown panel between two 18" panels, one with narrow stripes, and the other with red squares. 15" from one end is a 4.5" cut across the width.

Based on the recommendation of Amanda Gilvin (Post-Doc Fellow in African Art in the Art History department) the maker culture was changed from "African" to "Micronesian" (as Kusaien refers to Kosrae which is in Micronesia). (E. Wood, AMAB Fellow, 8/23/2012)
