Description:
Fragment of copperplate printed, red and white cotton in a pattern known as "Children's Games" (see also HD F.354A in brown and white). These vignettes include playing marbles and see-saw, the designs for which were derived from Bartlozzi's prints. The piece is machine stitched to white cotton textile at each end, and there a three blue threads in the selvage indicating an English origin.
