SKINNER CATALOGUE: Chair. An 18th century "Northern" banister back side chair. Posts and back maple, stretchers hickory. Saddle top rail, straight bottom rail, four flat reeded balusters. Back posts extend above the top rail, ring and long vase turned between rails, very simple spheroidal finials. Front posts ring turned. Two front stretchers long vase turned and show considerable wear. Two side stretchers and single back plain. Seat stretchers tenon into posts. Twisted rush seat not original. Cat. 8/20/1936.
